Overview

鳥さわ 22 TORISAWA22 is a refined yakitori destination tucked away in the heart of Bangkok’s Sukhumvit 63 district, specifically on the second floor at 267/16 Soi Sukhumvit 63. Drawing direct inspiration from its esteemed Tokyo parent, Azabu Torisawa, this restaurant offers an authentic glimpse into the art of yakitori grilling beyond Japan’s borders.

The focal point of the dining experience here is the Omakase Stop Course, a carefully curated sequence of approximately 14 chicken-based skewers that showcases the full spectrum of the bird — from tender breast and juicy wings to prized offal cuts like heart, liver, and the rare hatsumoto. The preparation honors traditional Japanese mastery, with each skewer grilled to the perfect balance of tenderness and char, allowing the natural flavors to shine without overpowering sauces.

The atmosphere at 鳥さわ 22 TORISAWA22 is intimate and refined, thoughtfully designed to minimize smoke and cooking odors, thus ensuring a pleasant ambiance throughout the meal. The presence of only a small, dedicated team — including a skilled Japanese chef and his wife — crafts a quiet, attentive experience that maintains high standards in both service and culinary precision. Complementing the grilled delicacies is a well-considered selection of sake, wine, and spirits, all chosen to harmonize with the nuanced flavors of the skewers.

Fishers of authentic yakitori, enthusiasts of Japanese grilling, and diners seeking a unique culinary journey in Bangkok will find this restaurant especially rewarding. While it sits discreetly within a complex behind the main street, the culinary treasures it offers make the search worthwhile. The space also caters to those who appreciate a cleaner environment, with well-maintained facilities and minimal smoky ambiance enhancing comfort.

In sum, 鳥さわ 22 TORISAWA22 stands as a beacon of authenticity and craftsmanship. Its commitment to presenting yakitori in its purest form, combined with a warm yet professional atmosphere, makes it a standout gem for anyone craving a true taste of Japan’s yakitori tradition right in Bangkok.

It's a hidden Yakitori place in Bangkok. It's a subsidiary of Azabu Torisawa in Tokyo. One of the most well known Yakitori places. Omakase course can explore every part of the chicken. You can have a very authentic and mastery grill skill Yakitori outside of Tokyo. It's not cheap but it's a fair price. And they have a good selection of sake and wine as well. If you are looking for authentic Yakitori in Bangkok this is the place.

One of the best yakitori omakase i have had in and out of Japan. The chicken parts were all grilled perfectly tender and juicy, and the tare was well balanced and not too sweet. They even had the hatsumoto. Only good yakitori restaurants serve this part as it is difficult to prepare. There was only the Japanese chef and his Japanese wife running the restaurant but service was still impeccable. Ambience is nice with no smoke from the grilling and strong smell. Toilet is clean.

This place is really hard to find. It locates at the 2nd floor of the left side building inside the car park area. There is a public toilet in front of the stairs. For the food it is really amazing. The best chicken wing I have ever had. I tried different yakitori restaurants in HK and Tokyo and it is the best chicken wing. Can keep the crispy and juicy and the bouncy of the chicken meat. The Thai waiter has a bit of a body smell and sometimes not prepare the side dish well.

This Yakitori Omakase (Michelin listed in Tokyo) in Ekamai (sukhumvit 63 area) serves about 14 courses (mostly chicken-based skewers) for about 2000-3000++ a person (more skewers and courses can be added on if you are not full). They serve two rounds of dinner a night: 17.30-20.00 and 20.30-end. Overall, the cooking is very good on the skewers. Everything was very tender and grilled very well. Especially the offals (heart and liver) was grilled so well! Nothing is flavored too heavily so you can also dip the skewers into their different seasonings to change it up when trying different cuts. The meal overall was delicious. They have wine, sakes, spirits here to enjoy with your meal and also allow corkage. For me, the course was overall on the smaller side quantity wise so I had to add a couple more skewers at the end. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Wow….. who would have thought that you can have a fine dining with just everything chicken on the menu. The chef is indeed a chicken and the grilling master. All the parts we tried was awesome. The egg and chicken oyster were my favorite. The chicken shoulder, wings, and all the inner organs were so good too. Highly recommend for those who love chicken. You should try at least once.

A well hidden restaurant located at the second level. Place is comfortable and spacious but limited seatings. So make your booking early! Mine first time trying a pure chicken yakitori omakase, am impress with the cutting and grilling skill. All the chicken parts were separated and grill to perfection and it was delicious! Will definitely be back again on my next visit to Bangkok! Thumbs up
